A partnership from the Catholic School’s Collaborative has brought the Good News to ICS students through the Marianist Schola Cantorum of the Pacific. Fr. Ted Ley, SM (Marianist), founder of the Schola Cantorum of the Pacific, is a former professor of music and liturgy at St. John’s Seminary as well as Chaplain Emeritus of Chaminade College Preparatory.
Mr. Vicente Bastidas, choirmaster, teaches sacred and liturgical music twice a week to TK-8th. This involves singing to read better, singing to speak better, and singing to pray better. Father Ted visits classrooms on most Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering both monetary and mentorship.
