Curriculum

Immaculate Conception School provides an all-encompassing academic curriculum which serves as a foundation for students to develop efficient critical thinking.  With a core focus on English and Language Arts and Mathematics, students at Immaculate Conception learn the necessary prerequisite skills that will enable them to fluently take on higher level academics.  At ICS, we strive to not only develop students who know, but also who understand and apply.

In partnership with the Catholic Schools Collaborative, we offer a rigorous course experience for students in ELA and Mathematics through the Wonders and Reveal curricula, respectively, and Science and Social Studies through TCI.  Furthermore, we utilize differentiation programs such as Achieve3000, ActivelyLearn, Reading Horizons, Dreambox and Smarty Ants as supplemental materials to help engage students at all learning levels.

With the tools provided, the faculty and staff are committed to their professional development through a series of weekly faculty meetings and professional learning communities where they share and discuss best practices in instruction.  ICS takes pride in being a blended-learning school where innovative teaching methodologies are infused with the use of technology and employed in the traditional whole-class model as well as in small group and collaborative instruction.  Students in Preschool through 2nd Grade are provided with iPads while students in grades 3-8 are provided with Chromebooks.
