Academics

Immaculate Conception School offers a high-quality Pre-K through Middle School Catholic education. Students receive daily instruction in religion, language arts (spelling, vocabulary, reading, literature and grammar), mathematics, science, and social studies. Art, music, and physical education are also part of the curriculum. Students in kindergarten through second grade receive extended language arts time, with links to social studies and science.

The graduation rate for those who attend ICS is 95% or higher. Over 85% of the graduates go on to private high schools such as Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto, Cathedral High School, Immaculate Heart High School, Loyola, Notre Dame, and Sacred Heart, often with the help of generous scholarship assistance. Tracking proves most will advance to college. The colleges and universities attended in recent years include Loyola Marymount University, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, the University of Southern California, as well as out-of-state schools such as Brown University and the University of Arizona.  Indeed, the road to college starts here!

Immaculate Conception School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).
