Immaculate Conception School relies on family involvement to provide the most comprehensive experience for our students. Parents and family members work alongside faculty and staff to support events, recess & lunch supervision, fundraising efforts, tutoring, and other activities throughout the year.
WE BUILD COMMUNITY BY DOING FAMILY SERVICE HOURS:
Each family must work 14** SERVICE HOURS by December 20 = 25** total Incomplete service hours will be charged at current minimum wage twice yearly.
There are additional requirements for those families receiving financial assistance.
Tracking Requirement
Volunteer hours must be logged by: 1. a signature with time in the volunteer binder in the office, and 2. entering it on the family tab on Gradelink. Both will verified by the faculty or staff member in charge of the event or activity. Tracking sheets can be picked up at the office or at specific events. It is a family's responsibility to ensure hours are verified on Gradelink and turned in to the front office to be logged electronically.

Fingerprinting Requirement
Near the start of every school year, Immaculate Conception Church hosts an event where parents can be fingerprinted in order to volunteer. If you miss this event and still want to be fingerprinted, please contact the front office at blopez@ics-la.org to receive a form that can be taken to a local fingerprinting service.
VIRTUS Requirement
Parents must also complete a VIRTUS class through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to volunteer on campus, although we recommend it for all parents/guardians to help protect their children from harm. The most up to date VIRTUS schedule can be found at the following link https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/reg_list.cfm?theme=0
Select any of the Los Angeles Archdiocese Region areas, but our region, the Our Lady of Angels Region, could be those trainings closest to home. Immaculate Conception Church also offers trainings at different times of the year, although most are in Spanish only.
